The title of the book loosely translates to fruit carrying society. Merian produced this botanical book to depict and and explain the medicinal uses of specific flowers, plants, fruits and vegetable. The text verso, in Old German, and slightly visible recto, gives botanical information and specific medical uses of the illustrated plant.

Framed with black period-style moulding.
