From the original edition published by the Italian Renaissance painter and printmaker, Cesare Vecellio, De gli habiti antichi et monderni de diverse parti del mondo in Venice in 1590 in excellent condition with Italian text verso. Vecellio, a cousin of Titian, accompanied the renowned painter to Augsberg in 1548 where he may have come in contact with prints by the German master, Albrecht Durer. This charming early image depicts a woman vegetable merchants displaying her basket of abundant produce surrounded by decorative border of scrolls, cornucopia and caryatids.
